Louisiana Monroe hopes Berry can turn things around
The Louisiana Monroe Warhawks rolled the dice last year by firing head coach Charlie Weatherbie. Weatherbie had success throughout his career and was an established coach, but the administration wanted better results.
The school went 6-6 the past two seasons, which is why the Weatherbie firing came as such a surprise.
They decided to hire Todd Berry, an interesting choice since he has a dismal career record of 5-36.
The administration better hope the hire doesn’t backfire, because fans will be ruthless about the decision-making process.
